What are Boric Acid Pessaries / Vaginal Capsules?

What are Boric Acid Pessaries / Vaginal Capsules? Boric Acid pessaries / vaginal capsules are inserted in the vagina to treat various conditions such as bacterial vaginosis and recurrent or persistent thrush that is resistant to other medications. It has mild antiseptic and antifungal properties which works to normalise vaginal pH and help bring back a balance of good bacteria within the vagina. This then provides relief of symptoms such as burning, itching and odour. Currently Boric Acid vaginal treatments are not commercially available, therefore, the Boric Acid medication prescribed by your Doctor needs to be specifically prepared for you at our compounding lab. We use certified pharmaceutical grade ingredients and ensure your medication is made to the highest possible standards. Boric Acid can be compounded as a pessary or vaginal capsule, both of which are to be inserted into the vagina. Our compounder will make your medication according to your Doctor’s prescription.
